Wow! is all I can say. My husband and I knew there was a new owner that had completely redone The Danforth in Portland so we stayed there last Friday night on the way to Connecticut to check it out. Spectacular is all I can say. This is a totally new place. They do have before and afters on their facebook page. I hope TripAdvisor will get rid of the old comments under the previous regime. I was welcomed by Leslie and her staff, then treated to a rich and relaxing cup of java. Room 3 is a massive and well appointed room with quaint bowed windows. I had a very comfortable king bed in a quiet room. The common areas are well decorated and full of beautiful pieces of silver and the work of local artists. Don't pass up a ginger scone if they are offered at breakfast! I look forward to going back! Charlotte, Trip Advisor
